Lead Generation…The Slippery Slope
What you’re trying to do when generating enquiries is create what we call ‘The Slippery Slope.
The Slippery Slope is focused on getting as many qualified prospects to raise their hands and say (figuratively speaking), ‘I’m interested in your products/services’.
The key is to make that first ‘step’ as painless and as easy as possible (using Tactics such as free Special Reports, ‘Information Packs’, etc.), to ensure you gain as many quality prospects or customers as you can.
Once you’ve got prospects on The Slippery Slope, you can then entice them further with free samples, free trials and irresistible offers that literally prevent them from climbing back up to the top of the slope. You make it so hard for them to say ‘No’ they simply can’t get off the slope because it’s too slippery.
What you’re doing is ethically forcing prospects to become customers. They can’t stop themselves – they keep sliding down the slope until you ‘catch’ them at the bottom (see diagram)
The result is many more customers, which in turn means greater sales and profits.
This all sounds very simple, but this one shift in thinking will propel the business forward so quickly you’ll wonder what you’ve been doing before.
